Welcome to the 2018 New York Yankees Season Preview

This season, the New York Yankees will be contending for their 28th world series title. During the offseason, the Yankees acquired 2017 National League MVP Giancarlo Stanton. Along with sluggers Aaron Judge, the 2017 American League rookie of the year, and Gary Sanchez, the trio is expected to hit well over 100 home runs combined. The pitching staff is anchored by young ace Luis Severino and veteran Masahiro Tanaka, along with closer Aroldis Chapman. The Yankees will also be led by a new manager, Aaron Boone after 2017 manager Joe Girardi's contract was not renewed. Boone is a former Yankee who is most famous for hitting a walk-off homerun against the Boston Red Sox in the 2003 American League Championship Series to send the Yankees to the World Series.
